How do I start?
Everyone starts somewhere, and the answer to this can be as unique as each individual. Many people jump right into our classes having never practiced yoga before, and do just fine.
If you prefer to have private instruction, we offer one-on-one or group lessons. Learn more about them here.
Which class should I start with?
This depends on what style of yoga you prefer. You may not know which styles or teachers you prefer, in which case, please try various classes.
If you want deeper stretches and more relaxation, Try Gentle Yoga
If you want more strength building and movement based classes, Try Vinyasa, Yin/Yang, or Hatha
If you don't want to be on your knees or on your back at any point in class, try Chair Yoga
Do I need to sign up for class in advance or call ahead?
No, you can drop-in to any class on our schedule.
However, if you have any questions, feel free to contact us ahead of time.
Do I have to be flexible to do yoga?
No, absolutely not! In yoga we work to gain flexibility and strength in a balanced way. With a consistent practice you will notice more flexibility, even if you can't touch your toes!
Do I have to wear yoga pants to come to class?
NO! This is a myth. You do not need to buy $90 yoga pants to practice yoga. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.
