NEW STUDENTS

new students

Welcome!

Some things to know before coming to class:
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.
  • We usually practice yoga without shoes on, and often without socks, to avoid slipping.
  • If possible, avoid eating up to 2-3 hours before class.
  • Stay hydrated! It's important to drink water before and after class, and you may also want to bring a water bottle to class.
  • At this time we are not providing mats for use, please bring your own.
  • Do not feel intimidated.  We try to create a non-competitive and comfortable atmosphere that allows each student to focus on his or her own practice.
  • Take each class and each movement at your own pace. Notice and respect how your body feels throughout class.
  • If you are new to the studio, or have an injury or health condition, please arrive at least 10 minutes early and inform your teacher.
  • You will need to create your account with Plymouth Yoga, by going to the student portal, here.  An account will allow you to sign up and pay for classes online.
  • We are currently requiring all participants to register for classes in advance, because space is limited
  • We now have 2 ways to do yoga: In Studio, and Online.
  • All participants must wear a mask while in studio classes.
  • Good classes to start with:
            Gentle Strength & Balance
            Gentle Yoga (for more relaxation)
Vinyasa Yoga (for more strength building)

You can learn about our studio and staff on this website.
