Online Yoga
Three years ago, I began a journey of intentionally simplifying my life and taking better care of myself. I began taking a yoga class as a form of exercise. As my journey progressed, practicing yoga is not longer a form of exercise for me. Rather, it has become an integral part of my life. A way to connect mind, body, and spirit. When COVID hit and things shut down, I was so grateful to have the option to attend online classes. Having the option to attend online allows me to not only practice yoga, but to also connect with instructors and other students. Online classes also provide me to attend on those days when I am held over at work and get home just in time to join. I am very grateful for this option and feel blessed we have instructors who are willing to offer this option.

Very convenient as it saves me 1/2 hour driving time

We love having the ability to practice with our regular teachers without leaving our home. We can leave our mats set out and are ready to go just minutes before class begins. It is convenient, familiar and no COVID risk. We have pretty much kept to the schedule we had when attending in the studio, so the routine we established is continuing. We are very thankful for this option and hope to also return to the studio someday!

Having found Kaitlynn as a teacher while living in Sheboygan, it has been great to reconnect and be able to continue practicing with her via online classes. Kaitlynn's ability to talk through poses and explain possible variances depending on the student's body that day are one of the many reasons I value her as a teacher and that approach is not limited by the distance of studying with her online. I also think Kaitlynn's guidance to setting intentions for each class has helped me feel connected to those students lucky enough to practice in the studio.

Studio Yoga
I love interacting with other people, I appreciate the solid feeling of the cork floor and air conditioning is a plus. Social distancing was my main concern and at the studio we have lots of personal space. [Regarding masks] At first it was hard to get used to but Kaitlynn put emphasis on breathing techniques and that really helped.

The practice, of course - and also the camaraderie. I am not greatly concerned, and the distancing, as well as the responsibility of each of us to refrain from congregating if we suspect we might be infected, relieves any minor concern I might have.

Being present with others who share a passion for the practice of yoga. I feel safe while in the studio. [Regarding masks] It has no effect on my practice that I am aware of.

Yoga in the Park
Fresh air and openness is wonderful....I'm going to miss the outdoors when temperatures preclude ....unless we wear snowmobile suits but that may be a little too cumbersome

I really enjoy the yoga in the park. There is plenty of room to spread out. And it’s lovely beneath the canopy of trees. Due to all the outside noises, I have learned to tune in to the instructor & myself. It’s definitely a blessing to be able to practice in nature.

When I first considered practicing yoga outdoors, my first thought was, "who will be watching me?" However, I will be the first to say, once practice began, this thought never crossed my mind. Being outside will take your practice to a whole new level. On our first day, as I laid on my back, feeling the grass, looking up at the sky, and watching the leaves more, I thought "why haven't I done this more often?" Practicing outside not only allows me to connect with my spiritual side, it also helps me connect to my childlike side. I more fully appreciate now why children love to lie in the grass and look up at the sky.
I encourage anyone who may be concerned about practicing outside to consider trying a class. The instructors all give great modification cues if you may be feeling uncomfortable with an asana pose outside. Practicing outside will truly help you connect to the spiritual side of yoga.

Being outside, under the trees and listening to the sounds of summer.
It is good for my soul to see other people, to know that people I care about are doing well and to gain appreciation for the yoga community we are so fortunate to have.

Everything about Plymouth Yoga is good, gracious and kind. The studio, every teacher, the person on the mat next to you - it's all right. Some days I'm counting down the minutes until I can walk in the door of the studio and feel the uplifting, rejuvenating energy that abounds there. Every practice leaves me feeling reconnected and thankful; every practice I leave smiling. What more could you ask for?

What a wonderful place to spend a little time taking care of yourself! I put off going for a long time thinking I wasn't flexible or coordinated enough, but yoga is exactly what I need to begin undoing years of tension, stress and poor posture. The studio environment is peaceful, welcoming, and non-competitive, and there is an obvious focus on making yoga safe and accessible for all levels/ages. I loved my first couple of classes with Kaitlynn, wish I could go more often!
