Certified Yoga Teacher Training
Join Plymouth Yoga for the beginning of a life-long journey into the depths of yoga.
The certification to teach yoga is only the surface of what our training is all about. Our training program is modular, which means you can enroll in the modules separately, or all at once. As a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance, our training teaches yoga history and philosophy, asana, pranayama, and meditation, teaching technique and practice, Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle, Ethics Teaching yoga starts with becoming your own teacher. Before giving anyone instruction, we must learn through our own experience. We can be a teacher without saying a word, simply by living the example of yoga in our daily lives. In this training we will learn of ancient yoga history all the way through modern yoga history, and how this relates to us in the present day. Teaching Methodology We cannot teach what we do not know. Much of this training is experiential learning. We learn how to describe these experiences in order to share with others. However, there are many tools and techniques that help us communicate information to others. Just as individuals learn differently, we also teach differently. In this program you will develop your strengths and add new skills to enhance the way you share yoga with the world. This includes: speaking in front of others.
