Advanced Asana
Class starts with an intense warm-up, conditioning and limbering body to prepare for the day's advanced pose. The first 40 minutes or so of this class will be taught in a very similar fashion to a Power Vinyasa Yoga class. It will include a vigorous flow designed to warm up the body and muscles, incorporating strengthening postures and ab work. The last 20 minutes (approximately) will be used to break down and work on advanced asanas (postures). Examples: Headstand, hands stand, bird of paradise, wheels, arm balances, etc. |
